Cure Characteristics of Rubber

Oscillating Disc Rheometer is used to determine the Optimum cure time, scorch time of the unvulcanized compounded rubber. The test will be conducted as per ASTM D 2084 and ISO 2417 and the procedure lay out by the customers. The type of curing like conventional, semi efficient and efficient in which the rubber compound is cured is determined by rheographs. It can also used to find out the required amount of accelerators to be added based on the Marching, Reversion or Plateau curve generated by the rheometer. The machine is fully computer controlled and the results are generated automatically. The Graph generated will gives optimum cure time (t90) and scorch time (ts2) at a fixed temperature in the range of 140 to 180° C, 160° being the most common one.
