Vicat softening temperature of plastics is the temperature at which a standard flat-ended indenter penetrates 1 mm into the surface of the material under test under a specified load. The test will be conducted as per ASTM D 1525 and ISO 306 and the procedure lay out by the customers. It is the determination of the softening point for materials that have no definite melting point. For Vicat A load of 1 kg is applied and for Vicat B load of 5kg is applied.
